Phidippides Encino is the premier running shop in Los Angeles.

We have run every distance from 5K to the Western States 100 miler. Because of our expertise, we have been invited to teach the shoe portion of the exercise physiology program at Cal State Northridge. We are constantly asked to do shoe clinics for podiatry and physical therapy groups, and groups training for marathons like the LA Roadrunners, Team in Training, Avon and the APLA program. Pheidippides (the more correct, original spelling - Phillip is the modern derivative) an Athenian courier, was sent to Sparta to request help when the Persians landed at Marathon. He ran 150 miles in two days. At the conclusion of the battle, he ran the 22 mi (35 km) back to Athens, where he reportedly shouted “Rejoice! We conquer!” and then died of exhaustion.

Craig loved the LA Marathon. He was a legacy runner at LA, and never ceased encouraging people to run it.
